About this project

Kuwala shows the current weather for any city: temperature, humidity, wind speed and conditions, with an icon to match. The name comes from the Chichewa word for light. It's written in plain JavaScript without a framework, using the Visual Crossing Weather API for the data. You can switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit, and the app remembers your last city and unit choice. It caches results in local storage, so returning to a city you've already searched doesn't need a fresh request. Searches are validated before they're sent, a loading state shows while the request runs, and an unknown city or a failed request gets a plain error message instead of a blank screen. It was one of my early projects, and it's still a good record of how I handle loading and error states without a framework doing the work.
